Deleting your data
You can ask Mwakete to delete your account and the information we hold about you at any time. This page is also our data deletion instructions for people who signed in with Facebook or Google.
1. Ask us to delete your account
Email admin@mwakete.com from the email address on your Mwakete account, with the subject Delete my Mwakete account. If you signed in with Facebook and never gave us an email, say so and include the name on your Mwakete account - we will ask you to confirm it is you before deleting anything.
We will delete your account, your saved sign-in methods (password, Google and Facebook links) and your profile within 30 days, and email you when it is done.
Some order records may be kept where a seller still needs them for a purchase that already happened. They are kept only for that purpose.
2. Remove Mwakete from Facebook (if you used it)
- On Facebook, open Settings & privacy → Settings.
- Open Apps and websites (under "Your activity" or "Permissions").
- Find Mwakete and choose Remove.
This stops Facebook sharing anything more with us. It does not by itself delete what Mwakete already holds - for that, use step 1.
3. Remove Mwakete from Google (if you used it)
Open your Google Account's third-party connections, choose Mwakete and remove its access. Then use step 1.
